Association Athlete Development Program

USATF Minnesota will again sponsor runners for the Association Athlete Development Program (AADP) organized by the Men's and Women's Long Distance Running Committees of USATF. AADP is a partnership between USATF, the USA Championship host events, and local USATF Associations, like USATF Minnesota, which support the travel and lodging for "local elite" athletes to attend national championship events. The program is open to athletes who meet the following three criteria:

  1. Have a current year USATF membership
  2. Be a U.S. citizen between 15-32
  3. Have met one of the following times:

 5 km  16:20-18:00   15:10 or better
 8 km  26:45-29:10  25:00 or better
 10 km  34:00-37:45  31:00 or better
 15 km  52:00-56:35  48:50 or better
 10 mile  55:00-1:00:50  52:50 or better
 20 km  1:01:50-1:16:15  1:06:25 or better
 Half Marathon  1:14:00-1:21:00  1:08:00 or better
 Marathon  2:40:00-2:55:00  2:25:00 or better

Minnesota athletes will have the opportunity to be nominated for competition at the following 2008 USA Championships:

Gate River Run - USA 15 km Championship, Jacksonville, Florida on March 8 (men and women)
NYYRC - USA 8 km Championship, New York, New York on March 15 (men)
5th/3rd River Bank Run - USA 25 km Championship, Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 10 (men and women)
Hospital Hill Half Marathon - USA Women's Half Marathon Championship, Kansas City, Mosouri on June 3 (women)
CVS/Downtown 5K - USA 5 km Championship, Providence, Rhode Island on September 21 (men and women)
Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon - USA Marathon Championship, Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 5 (men and women)
Tufts Health Plan 10K - USA 10 km Championship, Boston, Massachusetts on October 13 (women)
Houston Half Marathon - USA Half Marathon Championship, Houston, Texas on January 18, 2009 (men)
